Licensed Attorney:
A member of the State Bar of Texas, Lincoln obtained his J.D. (law degree) from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio while simultaneously serving as the play-by-play voice for the athletics department. 
 
     
Broadcast Major:
Lincoln obtained his Journalism degree from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.  The school is the ninth-oldest institution of higher education in the country, with its history dating back to 1749.  Twenty-seven years later, the United States declared its independence from England.
     
Native Texan:
Born in Austin, Lincoln attended Stephen F. Austin High School.  Fellow "Maroons" who have influenced the sports world include broadcaster Verne Lundquist, retired MLB Manager of the Year and player Don Baylor, Masters golf champion Ben Crenshaw, and his mentor Harvey Penick, author of golf's "Little Red Book."  None of the aforementioned presently list Lincoln on their websites.
